NMO's MOZART ORCHESTRAL MARATHON is attracting instrumental musicians from all over Buckinghamshire and beyond to participate in its 100-strong 10-hour playing marathon on 26th November from 9am to 7pm. The Marathon is NMO's way of fund-raising (for both its own Outreach activities in schools and for AgeUK Bucks) and, as a result, getting to make many new friends who enjoy playing or listening to orchestral music. The players include teachers, amateurs, students, pupils, professionals - anyone who is confident enough for continuous sight-reading - and all will be conducted by NMO's Artistic Director, Clive Fairbairn. Well, almost all! Deputies will take over for the odd sandwich or comfort break! It is being held in the Guildhall in the centre of High Wycombe and the public are welcome to call in to listen at any time during the day, whether for a few minutes or a few hours; refreshments will be on sale throughout.

Sponsorship and donations are welcome too: donors can contribute via our JustGiving webpage: https://campaign.justgiving.com/charity/ageuk-buckinghamshire/mozartorchestralmarathon Alternatively, they can send a cheque to NMO treasurer Anne Craig, Denny Croft, Ely Road, Waterbeach, Cambs, CB25 9PQ (payable New Mozart Orchestra) or do a direct bank transfer (email anne.craig@mac.com for details); or they can simply donate on the day!
