Clive Fairbairn, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of New Mozart Orchestra. invites you to sponsor him to learn the solo piano part in Mozart's Piano Concerto No.26 by June 26th when the project ends. All proceeds will go directly to Help Musicians UK which distributes funds to those musicians most in need of financial help and support, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic.

To donate simply type Mozart26 into the search bar on JustGiving.com where there are full details.

He chose this particular piece in memory of his friend William Lee who was the soloist when Clive conducted the concerto in a concert in Ilford Town Hall, Essex in 1977 celebrating HMQ Elizabeth's Silver Jubilee. The concerto was chosen for its title -- the 'Coronation Concerto'. A fine pianist and teacher, Willam died in 2012 from heart disease and diabetes.

Clive will spend (at least!) 26 hours learning the work and plans to record the result of his labours to bring the project to a conclusion.  Social distancing will preclude orchestral accompaniment so alternative means of doing this will be found and announced both here and on his JustGiving page.
